ABOUT
DIVINE MERCY PRINCESS FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL
DIVINE MERCY PRINCESS FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL is
one of Nigeria’s largest (NGO), Non-Profit making organization established
for Peace Promotion, National development, support, sponsorship, promotion and enhancement
of free medical and social services like care for Orphans and Vulnerable
Children (OVC), empowerment, education, etc.
DIVINE MERCY PRINCESS FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL mission is to empower Nigerians, particularly the poor and vulnerable to live healthier lives. Working with the private and public sectors, we use behaviour change communication and social marketing to improve access to essential health information, services, and products to motivate the adoption of healthy behaviours. DMPFI has over 120 staffers in the field all over Nigeria.
Our
organization is a global movement of committed peace builders working in
partnership with people of all Faiths, Races and Cultural backgrounds, based on
common principles, values and aspirations. DMPFI promotes, celebrates persons
and programs that contribute to reconciliation, mutual respect, harmony,
cooperation, etc.
One of the main objectives of peace building is reconciliation, and this arises when disputants develop a new relationship based on apology, forgiveness and a new established trust.
DMPFI has tackled ethnic conflicts and religious intolerance that was a major source and problem of instability in the world.
John Paul Lederach describes reconciliation as “a meeting ground where trust and mercy have met, justice and peace have kissed”. Reconciliation & peace brings people together, allowing them, to develop beyond the past to restore stable, peaceful and trusting relationship in the present. |
DMPFI
was established as a reaction to the above aforementioned and has
played a major role in healthcare delivery services especially people
living with HIV/AIDS, women and youth empowerment as well as caring for
orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) in the society. DMPFI is committed
to employing staffers who are recognized for technical excellence,
integrity and dedication as well as providing a workplace that is
professionally stimulating and supportive.

DMPFI is committed to creating peace building, post conflict reconstruction and a global culture of service, empowering
youth whose idealism and energies are often misdirected in materialistic
or self-centered pursuits. DMPFI is revolutionizing the attitudes and
priorities of young people around the world, not just with ideas but
with on-the-ground action that brings idealism to life.
DMPFI initiatives are designed to further the realization of the UN Millennium Development Goals intended to uplift the world's most at-risk populations. Service for others has been central to the world's faith and ethical traditions. Compassion for the less privilege and care for the environment affirm the universal principles of the interdependence of all life and of the ennobling character of service for the giver, thus this has been the primary methodology of peace building for our organization. DMPFI has initiated projects to promote peace, educate the public through seminar, conferences, workshops, etc. with support of partners from government, business and Non Profit Organizations. We engage volunteers from different background irrespective of their race, colour, tribe, religion, education, etc. drawing upon the shared ideals of the world's faiths and united by a vision of "One Family under God". PEACE! PEACE!! PEACE!!! Peace is a state of harmony characterized by the lack of violence, conflict behaviors and the freedom from fear of violence. Commonly understood as the absence of hostility, peace also suggests the existence of healthy or newly healed interpersonal or international relationships, prosperity in matters of social or economic welfare, the establishment of equality, and a working political order that serves the true interests of all. "Peace is not an absence of war, it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition for benevolence, confidence, justice. Peace and love are eternal.

About the President / Chairman of DMPFI   Ambassador Lady Princess C. Ononiwu, a Nigerian born and American trained social worker having a Bachelors degree in Government / Public Administration from Abia State University, Uturu and a Masters degree in Peace studies and conflict resolution respectively. A Peace Advocate, a mediator, a Member of Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) Oyo State Chapter, she partook in series of Peace seminars / Conferences both nationally and internationally. More so, not only that she has really maintained Peace in her home, but also in her neighborhood and the society at large. Many couples that would have separated today due to lack of Children, got help from her Orphanage Home, hence Peace was restored to their lives. Lady Princess as a "Helper of Women" has organized and trained many women on the need to speak and maintain Peace not only in their immediate homes but in the public as well. OUR MENTOR / ROLE MODELPresident and ChairmanDr. Hyun Jin Moon 
Dr. Hyun Jin Moon is the Founder and Chairman of the Youth
Federation for World Peace. Inspired and guided by his leadership, YFWP
has become the catalyst for the dynamic Young Ambassadors for Peace
movement, building a global network of committed peace-builders, working
in partnership based on common aspirations, principles and values.
Dr. Moon is actively engaged in numerous charitable and educational projects. As the founder of the international NGO, Service for Peace,
Dr. Moon has promoted innovative service learning strategies to heal
divisions within the human family. With wide-ranging experience as a
spiritual leader, social entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr. Moon
stresses the importance of a spiritual worldview, youth engagement,
personal responsibility, and integrity of character as essential
elements of effective peace-building. These principles and values have
guided Dr. Moon's entrepreneurial endeavors as he links business efforts
with his nonprofit activities.
